The Chicago Fire Football Club (Chicago Fire FC) is an American professional soccer club that competes in Major League Soccer (MLS), the top U.

Overview: Chicago Fire FC is searching for a data analyst to work with the club's first team staff.
Responsibilities:Collaborate with analytics department colleagues to develop models and analyses to inform first team preparation and decision-makingProvide data, metrics, and visualizations to video analysts for weekly opposition analysis and match preparationRespond to analytical requests from technical staff and produce independent written reports on medium- and long-term performance trendsBuild and maintain self-serve tools and dashboards for technical staffPresent and communicate analyses to appropriate stakeholdersEnsure all data processes are efficient, reliable and in line with club standards and time framesDevelop strong working relationships across the multi-disciplinary teamCompletion of other duties as assigned Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience1-3 minimum years of experience in data analysis or similar roleDemonstrated experience with PythonDemonstrated experience with SQL and relational databasesDemonstrated ability to analyze data to support decision-makers and derive insightsExcellent written and oral communication skills, including experience producing analytical reports and presenting insights to stakeholdersComfort working both independently on analytical projects and as a data provider for other analysts' workStrong understanding of football and experience analyzing football dataMust display a strong work ethic and desire to build a career in professional sportsAbility to adapt in a fast-paced environmentTravel and ability to work weekends/flexible hours requiredAbility to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, including all home games (or other work events) that fall on nights, weekends, and/or holidays Preferred Qualifications:Spanish language fluencyFamiliarity using Python to build interactive applications (e.
