    OverviewThe Charleston Battery is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Business Development Manager, Corporate Partnerships to lead new corporate revenue growth through strategic partnerships and premium marketing assets, including newly available LED board inventory. This role is designed for a proven seller who understands professional sports partnerships and/or marketing and advertising services, thrives in fast-paced environments, and brings relentless drive to prospect, pitch, and close. The ideal candidate is outgoing, competitive, naturally confident in networking situations, and knows how to convert relationships into revenue. This position will play a critical role in executing the Battery’s LED Board Go-To-Market strategy, with direct accountability for pipeline creation, deal execution, and revenue performanceKey ResponsibilitiesRevenue & New Business DevelopmentOwn and execute corporate partnership sales efforts focused on new LED board and integrated sponsorship inventoryConsistently build and manage a robust pipeline to meet or exceed annual revenue goalsIdentify, pursue, and close higher-value partnership opportunities when applicableGo-To-Market ExecutionExecute the approved LED Board Go-To-Market strategy with discipline and urgency, including:Category-based prospecting and prioritizationStructured outbound cadence across email, phone, LinkedIn, and in-person touchpointsTimely advancement of prospects through discovery, pitch, proposal, and close stagesMaintain strong cadence execution and activity standards to drive predictable resultsRelationship Building & NetworkingActively represent the Charleston Battery at games, community functions, business events, and networking environmentsBuild strong relationships with local and regional business leaders, marketers, and decision-makersLeverage in-market presence, site visits, and game-day experiences as selling toolsSales Process & Deal ManagementLead discovery conversations to understand prospect business objectives and marketing needsIn collaboration with team’s CRO, present customized partnership proposals and pitch decksNavigate objections, guide negotiations, and close agreements efficientlyEnsure smooth handoff and onboarding once a deal is closedCRM, Reporting & Performance ManagementMaintain accurate pipeline management and reportingTrack activity, pipeline progression, close rates, and revenue performanceUse insights to refine outreach approaches and improve conversion ratesQualificationsRequired ExperienceMinimum 3 years of business development, sales, or partnerships experienceDemonstrated success selling:Professional sports sponsorships/partnerships orMarketing, advertising, media, or experiential servicesProven ability to prospect cold accounts and close consultative, value-based dealsSkills & AttributesOutgoing, confident, and highly comfortable in group and networking settingsFast-paced, competitive, and motivated by winning and exceeding goalsStrong communication and presentation skillsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple prospects simultaneouslyDisciplined executor who follows sales processes and cadences consistentlyEntrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityPreferred ExperienceExperience selling signage, media, or brand visibility assetsFamiliarity with CRM tools and outbound prospecting platforms (e.g., ZoomInfo, HubSpot)Understanding of local or regional business marketing decision-makingWhy Charleston BatteryThis is an opportunity to sell meaningful, high visibility partnerships tied to one of the most established and respected clubs in American soccer.
