We are looking to fill our Event Manager opening, which is located at Target Center in Minneapolis, MN, home of the MN Timberwolves and MN Lynx. Job SummaryThis position is responsible for planning and executing assigned events at Target Center, including Timberwolves and Lynx games, concerts, meetings, and special events. experiences for clients, partners, and guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Plan, organize, and oversee all operational aspects of assigned NBA and WNBA games, concerts, meetings, and special events, managing the full lifecycle from initial planning through execution. Build strong, collaborative relationships with promoters, clients, and internal departments to enhance event delivery and operational efficiency. Maintain positive, timely communication with clients and serve as a primary venue resource throughout the event process, including event day. Lead or support weekly Event Meetings, effectively communicating and delegating event details to relevant departments. Assist in identifying operational challenges and opportunities for process improvement, recommending and implementing effective solutions. Create comprehensive event notes that outline requirements, timelines, and responsibilities for each event. Manage multiple events and projects simultaneously, consistently delivering high-quality results on deadline. Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree required. skills.· Able to work independently as well as collaboratively.· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.· Frequent movement throughout the venue, including climbing stairs.· Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds. Preferred Qualifications (if applicable):Experience in special events, sporting events, or concerts. Experience with AutoCAD or similar event-layout software.
