Senior Director of Accounting

Position Title: Senior Director of AccountingDepartment: The Rose Bowl Operating CompanyPosting Date: December 16, 2025Posting Expiry Date: January 30, 2026 The Senior Director of Finance & Accounting is responsible for the administration/oversight of daily accounting operations, internal controls, financial planning, and systems processes, and assures proper segregation of duties within the Accounting Department. Responsibilities:Administration/Oversight of Daily Accounting Operations:Overseeing and managing the completion of:Record point of sales transactions, review and recommend internal controls for multiple POS systems (Archtics, Eventbrite, and Square, etc.)Record Cash Receipts for Premium Seating, Tours, Golf Course, Renovation, and General Operating AccountsReconcile monthly bank statements for Premium Seating, Tours, Golf Course, Renovation, Payroll, and General Operating Accounts to review with Sr. Finance ManagerAssist with Accounts Payable invoice coding, batch review and check payments. Flagging issues and resolutions trackingPayroll and Benefit administration and compliance reportingLegacy Foundation daily transaction processing (AP/AR, all reconciliations)Directing Events settlements and contractual commitments with clientsContinuing evaluation of internal controls and lead audit narratives and successful completion of auditsAdministration of policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP and Internal RBOC/City of Pasadena Policies Finance:Oversee and manage the completion of:Data analysis and projections in areas such as Cash, Payroll, Expenses, Events, and Golf Course performance, etc. Report preparation, variance understanding, and explanations· Compile and analyze data for the annual budget and 5-year proforma· Partner with the CFO to prepare and deliver reports for committees, boards, and the City of Pasadena· Lead Legacy Foundation financial reporting function at RBOC· Implement current policies and procedures for non-profit organization compliance, tax, and financial reportingManaging Staff:· Cross-training staff in analytical skill development, problem-solving, and workload management· Providing timely performance evaluations and feedback to staff· Overseeing and managing workload for staff to meet deadlines (i. skillsEducation and experience:• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required. experience in Accounting and Finance function required. Licenses and Certifications:• Class C driver’s license and satisfactory driving record• Additional certifications related to facility operations and project management are considered a plus. qualifications, skills, and competencies. This base pay is part of an overall package that is designed to compensate and recognize employees for their work and achievements.
