How it works

- The analyzer takes the words and repeated two-word phrases that occur most often in the job description and checks which ones appear in your resume.
It counts words; it doesn't understand them. "Led a team" and "managed staff" mean the same thing to a person but not to a word count, so read the result with that in mind.

What is an ATS?
An applicant tracking system is the software employers use to collect and review applications. Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters and Recruitee are common examples, and many of the jobs on GetSportJobs come from employers' boards on those systems. Recruiters can search the applications they receive by keyword, so describing your real experience in the job's own words helps them find you.
What's a good score?
There isn't an official one. A higher score means more overlap in wording, nothing more. Use the missing list as a checklist: add the terms that honestly describe what you've done, and ignore the rest. Stuffing in keywords you can't back up won't survive an interview.
Is my resume stored?
No. The comparison runs in your browser, and nothing you paste is sent to GetSportJobs.
