USA Rugby - Director, Business OperationsUSA Rugby is the national governing body for the sport of rugby union in the United States.
Responsibilities:Operational Leadership:Oversee daily business operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes across all departments.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiencyManage and lead USA Rugby staff inclusive of full-time and contract employeesFinancial Management:Manage to the organization's set budget, supporting financial stability and alignment with strategic goals.
Work closely with the CFO to support financial reporting and auditing.
Strategic Planning:Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute business strategies that support the organization's growth and sustainability.
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Identify and mitigate operational risks, implementing risk management strategies as needed.
Human Resources and Administration:Work with the senior team to oversee talent management, including recruitment, retention, and employee development.
Ensure effective administration of employee policies and benefits.
Stakeholder Management:Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, partners, and other rugby organizations.
Represent USA Rugby in meetings, conferences, and public engagements as needed.
Technology and Innovation:Identify and implement technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and organizational performance.
Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in sports management and business operations.
Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
At least 7-15 years of experience in business operations, preferably in sports or a related field.
Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building and maintaining relationships.
Knowledge of rugby and a passion for sports administration is highly desirable.
Experience with compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
