Youth Futsal Coach

JOB SUMMARYThe Youth Futsal Coach will be responsible for the coaching of futsal clinics around the DMV area throughout the year. The youth futsal coach will deliver from different curricula depending on the program. In addition, the coach will actively scout and recommend players for DC United’s Regional Development School program. The coach will report directly to the Director of Youth Programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESA coach’s working week is comprised of on field coaching hours & administration dutiesRequired to attend mandatory paid pre-season orientation event(s)Assist in Regional Development School (RDS) tryouts as neededScout/recommend talented, potential RDS players. Organize and assist in the running of other camps/clinics/tryouts throughout the year. Assist with Community Relations events as needed. Assist with training for affiliate programs as needed. QUALIFICATIONS- A current US Soccer D license coach or equivalent (minimum)- Possess the drive to develop youth players and work as part of a team- Knowledge of MLS/DMV futsal landscape preferred- Available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends & holidays- Have the ability to plan, create, execute and document training sessions and programs - Valid US Driver’s License- The selected candidate must be able to successfully pass a background checkCompensation- Hourly (scale depending on coaching license)D.
