Reporting to the SVP, Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting the Anaheim Ducks and San Diego Gulls.

ResponsibilitiesOversee and maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, benefits documentation, performance records, and compliance documents such as I-9sManage and audit employee identification credentials and ensure compliance with internal and external regulationsSupport organizational compliance efforts, including maintaining personnel and regulatory files to meet legal requirementsResponsible for new hire compliance filing and serves as primary EDD contact for related follow-upsAlongside the HRBP, oversee the new hire onboarding process and new hire tour schedulingSupport the offboarding process including exit logistics, system access removal, and documentationAssist in the administration of leave programs including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, PDL, workers’ compensation, and company‑specific policies; provide clear communication to employees and managers regarding eligibility, timelines, extensions, accommodations, and return‑to‑work requirementsPartner with leadership to develop and distribute HR communications, such as internal announcements, newsletters, and updatesCollaborate in the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives including recognition programs, wellness activities, appreciation events, and culture‑building activitiesAssist with employee engagement surveys and follow‑up action planningSupport leaders with their talent acquisition efforts with primary focus on part-time recruitmentServe as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, workplace concerns, performance questions, or conflict‑resolution needsHelp gather information for ER matters and support HR leadership with documentation and follow‑upSupport the intake and documentation of employee relations matters, escalating more complex issues as needed Assist in conducting initial fact-finding for routine concerns under guidance from HR leadershipAssist in the maintenance of accurate and compliant documentation, tracking, and reportingAssist in identifying trends and recommending opportunities to strengthen employee communication and supportAssist in managing departmental budgets, tracking expenses, and processing invoicesAssist in the selection and ordering of new hire giveawaysIdentify opportunities to enhance HR processes, ensuring efficiency and complianceContribute to ongoing projects and initiatives to foster a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace cultureParticipate in Ducks and Gulls operational events and initiatives including events led by community relations, fan development, sales, and marketingQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience3+ year of related experience; experience as an HR Coordinator or HR Generalist role preferredExperience with Workday preferredKnowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment lawProficiency with HR Information Systems and MS Office SuiteExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse populations effectivelyHighly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skillsA proactive team player with a commitment to relationship-building and fostering a positive employee experienceAble to work nights, weekends and holidays as neededAble to travel including working in both Anaheim and San Diego offices on a regular basisKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceEducation - Bachelor's DegreeExperience Required – 3+ YearsThis position is on-site.
