ABOUT US The North Carolina Courage, a member of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), is seeking a Coordinator, Community Platforms & Events (Contract).
The Coordinator, Community Platforms & Events is responsible for leading the execution and operational planning of all community initiatives for the club. This role ensures that programs are delivered with consistency, professionalism, and impact, while building the systems and processes needed to scale over time. This position reports to the Manager of Community and works closely with Community, Marketing, and Partnerships to bring programs to life at a high level. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in execution, enjoys building structure, and wants to play a key role in bringing community programs to life at a high level. THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION WITH A 6-MONTH COMMITMENT THAT COULD BE EXTENDED. REQUIRES BEING IN THE RALEIGH, NC OFFICE, M-F 9:00 am-5:00 pm PLUS FLEXIBILITY WITH EVENTS.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Community Event Execution & Planning Lead execution planning for all community events and programs Develop detailed run of show documents for each activation Build and manage staffing plans for events and appearances Oversee all setup, breakdown, and on-site logistics Create and manage pre-event preparation timelines Coordinate all vendors, equipment, and operational needs Ensure a consistent, high-quality experience across all events Community Calendar Management Support the management and organization of the full community calendar Align event timing, staffing, and logistics across departments Ensure all events are properly planned and resourced in advance Matchday Community Integration Lead execution of community elements on matchdays Coordinate community groups, on field moments, and in stadium activations Ensure seamless integration with game presentation and operations teams Scaling Signature Programs Support the execution and growth of key community platforms and programs Build operational plans that allow programs to scale efficiently Ensure consistency across repeatable events and initiatives Donation & Fulfillment System Manage all donation requests from intake through fulfillment Track and maintain inventory of donation items Standardize processes for requests, approvals, and distribution Ensure timely and organized fulfillment of all donations Operational Systems & Process Development Build and maintain templates for event planning and execution Develop checklists and tools to support consistency Create repeatable processes that improve efficiency and scalability Identify areas for operational improvement and implement solutions QUALIFICATIONS: 3 to 6 years of experience in event management, sports, community relations, or related field Strong organizational and project management skills Experience managing multiple events and timelines simultaneously Ability to build systems and processes in a fast paced environment Strong communication and coordination skills across teams Comfortable working nights, weekends, and matchdays as needed Experience in sports or live events is preferred OUR VALUES We hire through the lens of our Club Values: Integrity – Transparent, trustworthy relationships with our fans and ourselves.
