Position OverviewThe Hartford Athletic Youth Academy is seeking a Soccer Operations Coordinator Intern who will work directly with Ross Peebles (Academy Director of Coaching and Curriculum) to support the development and execution of soccer-specific programming as the club builds out its academy operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesSoccer Operations & Coaching Support:Assist Ross Peebles with curriculum planning and session designSupport training session setup, execution, and breakdown for academy programsHelp coordinate technical aspects of player development initiativesAssist with match day operations for academy games and W-League fixturesSupport video analysis and player evaluation processesMaintain training equipment inventory and organizationAssist in the planning and delivery of specialized technical clinics and campsPlayer Development & Experience:Assist in player pathway coordination between academy levelsSupport player evaluation and tracking systemsAssist with tryout and identification event coordinationHelp document training methodologies and best practicesProgram Development:Contribute to the buildout of academy curriculum and programming structureAssist in creating training resources and coaching materialsSupport the development of operational procedures for soccer-specific activitiesHelp coordinate integration between academy programs and W-League operationsAssist with scheduling of training sessions, matches, and development activitiesAdministrative Support:Maintain soccer operations databases and player recordsCoordinate with families regarding soccer-specific programmingAssist with match reports and technical documentationSupport registration processes for camps, clinics, and academy programsHelp prepare materials for coaching staff meetings and player development reviewsRequirementsCurrently enrolled in Sports Management, Coaching Education, or related fieldStrong soccer knowledge with playing or coaching experience preferredUnderstanding of player development principles and age-appropriate training methodologiesExcellent organizational and time management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with video analysis software a plusStrong attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environmentAbility to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends for training sessions, matches, and eventsValid driver's license and reliable transportationBenefitsDirect mentorship from Academy Director of Coaching and W-League Head CoachHands-on experience in professional soccer operations and player developmentExposure to both youth academy and women's professional soccer environmentsAccess to Hartford Athletic facilities, training sessions, and matchesNetworking opportunities within professional soccerProfessional development in coaching and technical operationsCollege credit available (if applicable)We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
