    Position: PLL Play Operations ManagerPosition Location: Denver, COStart Date: 3/1/206 (Flexible)About: The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) is a professional lacrosse league in North America, composed of 8 teams rostered with the best players in the world. about operating events with precision, motivated by the challenges and variables associated with sports event operations, and is invigorated by achieving successful results with hard work, strong preparation, and a team-first mentality. Qualifications: 4-5 years’ experience in a sports event operations role Knowledge of and experience utilizing project management methodologies, tools, and software to manage processes. Ability to understand and manage an event P&L with excel proficiency is a must. Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills. Self-motivated. skills. Experience operating high caliber events on-site. Highly accountable with the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure Knowledge of the youth sports landscape with lacrosse specific knowledge a bonusJob-Specific RequirementsYou will be required to travel regularly to operate events on-siteTravel includes shared hotel rooms (special accommodations made for medical consideration)Regular out-of-hours work during eventsMust be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds or more as part of regular job duties. Valid Drivers LicenseRequirements:As a leader on PLL Play’s Operations team, project manage key PLL Play events (camps, tournaments, clinics, Showcases, etc.) to include multiple genders and age groups, including youth and adult events. Scope, build and execute deliverable lifecycle of programs from inception to delivery to include event planning, scheduling, logistics, staffing, budgeting, merchandise, venue management/contracts, vendor management, sponsorship activation, hotel partners, stakeholder relationships, and post-event reconciliationExecute on program timelines and objectives by effectively leveraging project management platform and associated deliverables. Communicate project progress and status updates to stakeholders regularly. Travel to deliver events on-site by implementing operational, event management, and emergency action plans with precisionOperate individually, as a team, and with partnersBuild and maintain strong relationships with venues, stakeholders, service providers, vendors and customers, representing the PLL at the highest levelEnhance the value of PLL Play programming through superior operational deliveryCollect, analyze, and implement feedback and learnings to inform decisions and improvements. Identify and implement opportunities for system and process improvement. Highly responsive, professional, and timely communication with internal and external stakeholdersTimely attention/prioritization of time/cost sensitive items (ex. venue deadlines, accounts payable, insurance, travel, lodging, logistics etc.) within PLLP guidelines, while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
