    Drum Corps International (DCI) has developed into a powerful, nonprofit, global youth activity with far-reaching artistic, educational and organizational influence. Through the annual DCI Tour and World Championships, Drum Corps International provides entertainment to millions through live performances and nationally broadcast events. Drum Corps International is Marching Music’s Major League™. Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid/Open to Remote)Summary:The Director of Development/Fundraising will be responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program for DCI that includes major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, planned giving, and special events. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop fundraising goals and strategies. This position reports directly to the CEO. Essential Functions:Develops and implements a comprehensive annual fundraising plan to accelerate philanthropy within the organization through individual major gifts, foundation giving, planned giving, and special events. Works closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop fundraising goals and strategies that align with the organization’s mission and values. Identifies and cultivates financial support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government. Oversees and updates the organization’s case for giving statements. Works with grant writing consultant to research and prioritize available grant opportunities. Develops and maintains a portfolio of ongoing relationships with major individual and institutional donors. Stewards’ donor relationships through donor recognition and follow-up communicationsProvides support to the CEO in establishing and expanding a major gift portfolio. Creates and executes donor cultivation and stewardship opportunities. Works closely with the Communications and Marketing team to develop and execute effective donor communications and marketing materials (annual report, website solicitation, social media outreach, and email campaigns)Oversees Friends of DCI donor program, including special events around the World Championships. Completes relationship mapping with DCI Board Directors, Corps Board of Directors, and Friends of DCI. Works with Hall of Fame committee and internal staff on planning and execution of annual induction ceremony/event (find ways to incorporate fundraising initiatives into the HOF event). Monitors and analyzes performance metrics tied to organizational fundraising goals (i.e., donor engagement and retention rates) in Neon CRM. Maintains monthly key performance indicator reports that accurately reflect caseload activity and performance. Develops budget, in conjunction with CEO and CFO, for reaching fundraising goals. Implements a planned giving Legacy Program and solicits new planned gift donors. Develops and establishes a Giving Circles program, utilizing it as a key tool for major donor stewardship, retention, and increasing overall support. Creates a moves management plan for each donor/prospect.
