Field Attendant / Scoreboard OperatorWe are seeking a reliable and attentive Field Attendant / Scoreboard Operators to help ensure games run smoothly and efficiently during baseball/softball tournaments. This position plays an important role in maintaining the field environment, keeping accurate game information, and serving as a key point of communication between the field, umpires, and tournament director. ResponsibilitiesOversee the field and help ensure the game environment is safe, organized, and ready for play. Operate the scoreboard and maintain accurate game scores, innings, outs, and other relevant information. Provide umpires with baseballs and any other necessary game supplies. Monitor and address on-field conflicts or issues in a professional and appropriate manner. Communicate with the tournament director regarding game updates, field conditions, scheduling concerns, and any incidents that occur. Assist with maintaining an efficient pace of play and help resolve minor field-related issues as they arise. Ensure the field and surrounding areas remain organized and presentable throughout the tournament. Follow tournament policies, procedures, and instructions from tournament management. Maintain a professional, positive, and helpful attitude when interacting with players, coaches, umpires, and spectators. QualificationsStrong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Comfortable operating a scoreboard and keeping an accurate game score. Knowledge of baseball rules and game procedures preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with umpires, coaches, players, and tournament staff. Previous experience working at baseball tournaments or athletic events is a plus. Work EnvironmentThis is an outdoor, game-day position that requires standing and being attentive for extended periods. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required depending on the tournament schedule.
