WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOUSUMMARYThe National Hockey League seeks a Legal Assistant to assist with player health management programs as well as litigation, labor law, corporate, and other legal matters. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Draft memoranda and surveysPerform researchTrack compliance on various initiatives, including communicating with NHL Club personnelAssist with document productions, transactions and/or closings as neededUpdate and maintain databases and spreadsheets to remain currentMaintain master calendar of outstanding tasks on health and safety related projects and other areasAssist with preparation for meetings, hearings, and other mattersOrganize and manage electronic and paper filesProcess invoices and expense reimbursementsPerform other related duties as neededQUALIFICATIONSKnowledge Areas/ExperienceRequiredMinimum two years in a similar role is requiredAbility to handle matters with discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgmentAbility to work independently as well as within a teamAbility to assume progressive responsibilities within assigned work as experience is gained in the positionAbility to complete projects in a timely, efficient and effective manner, and to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong research skills as well as knowledge of relevant computer software programs (e. skillsDemonstrate close attention to detail and high level of commitment to quality work productFlexibility to work nights and weekends when necessaryCORE COMPETENCIESThese core competencies reflect the underlying values that are necessary to represent the National Hockey League:AccountabilityAdaptability Communication Critical ThinkingInclusionProfessionalismTeamwork & CollaborationThe NHL offers U.
