OverviewKings Island is seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance & Construction to lead all aspects of park-wide maintenance operations, including rides, facilities, utilities, and capital construction projects. experience by driving operational excellence, leading large teams, managing significant capital investments, and ensuring strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Operational LeadershipDirect all maintenance operations across rides, facilities, and electrical systemsDevelop and execute preventative maintenance programs, annual overhauls, and repair strategiesEnsure safety, reliability, and maximum uptime of all park assetsOversee daily physical plant operations, including utilities and groundsConstruction & Capital ProjectsLead planning and execution of capital construction projectsManage contractors, engineers, architects, and vendorsEnsure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with specifications and safety standardsCoordinate project schedules and priorities across departmentsLeadership & Team ManagementLead, develop, and manage a team of managers, supervisors, and technical staffDrive performance through training, coaching, and accountabilityOversee hiring, performance evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary actionsFoster a safety-focused culture and continuous improvement mindsetFinancial ManagementDevelop and manage annual operating and capital budgetsMonitor expenses and ensure cost-effective operationsSupport long-range planning and capital forecastingMaintain visibility into project costs, timelines, and resource needsSafety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with OSHA and all applicable federal, state, and local regulationsInterface with regulatory agencies, inspectors, and government officialsLead safety initiatives and enforce company policies and proceduresIdentify risks and implement corrective actions as neededCollaboration & CommunicationPartner with park leadership and other departments to support operational goalsMaintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and external partnersAddress escalated guest concerns related to park infrastructure and operations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Management, or related field preferred. skillsAbility to manage multiple complex projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellenceAbility to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidaysValid driver’s license#LI-RN1
