Position Title: Ticket Sales & Sponsorship Fall InternLocation: Paterson, NJ Department: Ticketing Duration: Fall (August–January)Compensation: Unpaid (For College Credits)About the RoleThe New York Cosmos and New Jersey Jackals are seeking a passionate and motivated Ticket Sales Intern to join our Revenue & Events team. experience in professional sports. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Ticket Sales team with prospecting, lead generation for both organizationsAssist with group sales initiatives including youth sports organizations, schools, businesses, nonprofits, and community groupsHelp maintain customer records and sales activity within the team's CRM systemAssist with game-day ticket operations, will call, group hospitality, and fan experiencesLearn how ticket packages, premium seating, season memberships, and special promotions are developed and soldSupport ticket sales campaigns and community eventsAssist with organizing client meetings, stadium tours, and hospitality experiencesCollaborate with the Marketing and Community Relations teams to support promotional campaigns and ticket initiativesHelp prepare sales presentations, outreach materials, and promotional flyersRepresent both organizations at community events, networking functions, and promotional appearancesRequirementsCurrently pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Sales, or a related fieldStrong communication and interpersonal skillsComfortable speaking with prospective customers in person and over the phonePositive attitude with a desire to learn sales and relationship managementStrong organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentAvailability to assist during evenings, weekends, and home games as neededPassion for sports, customer service, and fan engagementNice to HavePrevious customer service, retail, fundraising, or sales experienceExperience using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or CRM softwareComfortable making outbound phone calls and communicating with prospective clientsExperience with event planning or hospitality is a plusBilingual abilities are a plusInterest in professional sports business, ticket sales, and revenue generationWhat You'll LearnHow professional sports organizations generate revenue through ticket sales, memberships, and group outingsBest practices for prospecting, relationship building, and consultative salesHow CRM systems are used to manage leads, customer relationships, and sales pipelinesThe process of developing ticket promotions, premium experiences, and group sales programsHow Marketing, Community Relations, Partnerships, and Ticket Sales work together to drive attendanceHands-on experience with game-day ticket operations, client hospitality, and fan engagementValuable sales, communication, networking, and customer service skills applicable across the sports and entertainment industryProfessional experience working in a collaborative sports business environment while building a foundation for careers in ticket sales, sponsorship, business development, and sports managementPlease submit your resume and a short cover letter explaining why you're excited about joining the New York Cosmos and New Jersey Jackals.
