Job Description
The Director of Game Operations will lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of all game-day and event operations for the IAL’s Las Vegas Rockers, ensuring high production standards, operational efficiency, and an outstanding fan experience.

The Director of Game Operations works collaboratively with the Head Coach, Marketing, Broadcast, Facilities, and Logistics teams and plays a key role in integrating league-wide operational standards and best practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all aspects of game-day planning and execution, including run-of-show, timelines, event staff, and logisticsLead development and implementation of operational protocols, checklists, and contingency plansCoordinate with cross-functional partners: facilities (Orleans Arena), ticketing, security, broadcast, media, sponsors, and sponsors’ partnersManage premium experiences, in-game entertainment elements, promotional activations, and fan engagement initiativesSupervise and train game-day staff, contractors, and volunteersLead post-event debriefs to identify opportunities for operational improvementsEnsure compliance with league rules, safety guidelines, and championship operational standardsSupport travel-related operational planning on away games when requiredQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience in live event operations, ideally in professional sports, arena football, or major entertainment eventsTrack record managing complex live event logistics and staff leadershipStrong communicator with excellent interpersonal, planning, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidays per game schedulesComfortable working in a fast-paced startup sports environment with evolving processesPreferred ExperienceArena football, indoor football, or other live sports event operations experienceExperience working with broadcast and production partnersFamiliarity with major event safety and crowd management standardsProficiency with event management software, ticketing systems, and production toolsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageFull-time leadership role within a new international sports leagueOpportunity to shape operational standards and fan-first experiences from Day 1Collaboration with league executives, coaching staff, and entertainment partnersExciting travel for league events and operations
