Sports Management Internship - Summer 2026

The Oak Island Loggerheads, proud members of the Old North State League, are a summer collegiate baseball team based in Oak Island, North Carolina. experience in one or more of the following categories: Ticket Operations, Public Address, In-Game Entertainment, Baseball Analytics / Statistics, Social Media, Hospitality and Facility/Gameday Operations. Here's what we expect from you:Desire to learn and growWillingness to be challenged and step outside of your comfort zoneEnergetic and excitement about bringing the best show to Oak IslandHere's what could be doing:Assist ticket sales in identifying sales opportunities through prospecting and outreachAssist ticket and sponsorship sales with soliciting, pitching and closing group and sponsorship salesAssist in the creation of new and exciting between inning promotionsAssist in managing the team's social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTokTrack the success of the team's social media outreach and present to the General ManagerAssist with facility operations to ensure a clean and safe ballpark experienceAssist with the set up and teardown of all team activitiesAssist in keeping the general cleanliness of the stadiumHands on experience running a summer collegiate baseball programSummer interns begin in May 2026. This is a Unpaid position. Interns should seek college credit for completion of the internship.
