The Dragons Sport Management Assistant (SMA) program gives individuals an understanding of how the Dragons organization is structured, what skills are required to perform the job functions, and what areas in the field of sports interest you most. experiences, then Dayton Dragons Professional Baseball is the right place for you. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced, energetic environment, and be willing to work non-traditional hours. Candidates must be available for 40 of the 66 home games and all mandatory events. SMAs will be working in a variety of roles, including, but not limited to, the following:DRAGONS GAME DAY ROLES:Pre-game VIP tours VIP Guest Services StaffFun Zone kid's game area staffCustomer Service Booth staffBox Office game day windowsPreparation of premium areasAssisting with sponsor promotionsSelling 50/50 raffle ticketsPre-game parade assistSet-up and tear down of plaza activitiesHanding out PlayBall! experience Promotion sales trackingAssisting with event preparationDonation requests fulfillmentEVENTS AT THE BALLPARK (assisting with over 60 sponsor events):Movie nights Celebrity SoftballGreat American Beer Tasting College Prep NightOff-Site Block PartiesMeet the TeamDragons 5KCompany B2BsCollege and high school baseball gamesCompany baseball, kickball, and other tournamentsAnd more! MISCELLANEOUS HELP:Assisting with tarp pullsMascot appearancesField Trip Program tours Assisting other departments as neededSTART/END DATES & HOURSFebruary – September 2027Home games:Monday-Saturday: 4:00pm–9:00pm (ending time varies by game). Sunday: 10am–3:00pm (ending time varies by game). Training sessions (9am-5pm): February 27, March 6, March 13, March 20. ALL SESSIONS ARE ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY. Additional hours: Events at the park and special projects as scheduled *Events typically occur on nights/weekends when the team is out of town.
