Job Description
Summary of this Position: This position will navigate the sales process to generate new Pittsburgh Penguins and FSM corporate partnerships with regional, national, and international companies.
Responsibilities:Execute all aspects of the sales cycle to generate new corporate partnership revenue for the Pittsburgh Penguins and associated propertiesCultivate new leads and move through the sales process through research, cold outreach, and networkingDevelop relationships through creative means including networking events, speaking engagements and one-on-one dinners and lunchesProactively solicit and follow-up on any personal sales leads under the guidelines established by Vice President, Partnership SalesCollaborate with related properties within FSM portfolioWorking with fellow department members to create and implement new ideas, inventory and opportunities that will drive incremental revenue Develop and maintain proper sales and prospect reporting procedures and databasesParticipate in events, promotions, client entertainment and other activities as requiredWork and attend required events at PPG Paints Arena, UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, and other FSM venuesBuild internal relationshipsProperly represent the Penguins and FSM brand throughout the community and sports industryOther duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum seven years of partnership and/or revenue-generating experience with a major sports property or high-profile sports/entertainment entity.
Minimum three years in a partnership sales roleDemonstrates a high level of integrity through their work and relationshipsCan demonstrate a history of generating revenue through corporate partnershipsRole is based in Pittsburgh, working in the office four days/week, with one day work-from-home.
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business preferredExceptional organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven interpersonal skills.
Ability to exercise sound business judgment, generating effective solutions quickly and raising issues to management as necessary.
Able to work flexible hours including some weekends and evenings.
Willingness to travel, including weekends.
