E-Commerce Marketing Lead

Job Title: E-Commerce Marketing LeadCommitment: Part-Time, FreelanceLocation: Remote or San Diego OfficeCommitment: 10–20 hours per week (flexible)We’re looking for a seasoned Shopify E-commerce Marketing Expert to help scale one or more consumer brands by optimizing the full Shopify ecosystem—from acquisition through retention. This is a hands-on, strategic fractional freelance role for someone who understands not just what to do, but which tools to use inside Shopify to maximize revenue, performance, and long-term growth. This role offers meaningful strategic influence paired with hands-on execution, with the opportunity to build, optimize, and continuously improve a best-in-class Shopify ecosystem. You’ll collaborate closely with marketing, creative, and web development partners to recommend, implement, test, and refine the plugins, integrations, and workflows that drive conversion, AOV, retention, and lifetime value. This role is ideal for someone who brings both strategic perspective and operational depth. ResponsibilitiesOwn and optimize the Shopify storefront experience to drive conversion rate, AOV, and LTVBuild and execute e-commerce marketing strategies across paid, owned, and lifecycle channelsManage and optimize paid media (Meta, Google, TikTok, etc.e Requirements4+ years of hands-on Shopify e-commerce marketing experienceDemonstrated experience selecting, implementing, and optimizing Shopify plugins/apps that drive revenueProven track record growing DTC e-commerce brandsStrong understanding of paid media performance in a Shopify environmentDeep experience with Klaviyo or comparable ESPsFluent in CRO, funnel optimization, and on-site merchandisingComfortable collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, design, web and social teamsData-driven, proactive, and confident making clear recommendationsExperience with Shopify PlusBackground in subscriptions or repeat-purchase businessesFamiliarity with influencer, affiliate, or ambassador programs, a plusExperience working with early-stage or scaling consumer brands, a plusCUENTO is an equal opportunity employer.
