About the Sioux Falls StampedeThe Sioux Falls Stampede is a Tier I junior hockey team based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, that competes in the United States Hockey League (USHL). The Stampede has won the USHL Organization of the Year Award six times and most recently captured its fourth Clark Cup Championship during the 2025-26 season. Playing at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, the Stampede consistently rank among the nation's leaders in attendance across junior, collegiate, and semi-professional hockey. More than 40 former Stampede players have gone on to play in the NHL. Position OverviewThe Game Presentation & Community Engagement Associate is a paid internship that combines office, event operations, and community relations responsibilities. This individual will work approximately 30 hours per week in the Stampede front office, in addition to all 30 home games. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, dependable, and eager to gain real-world experience in the sports industry. This position offers significant responsibility, as well as leadership opportunities. This person will work directly with the Game Presentation Coordinator and the Director of Game Presentation. Duration: Late August 2026 through April/May 2027 Office & Game Presentation ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning and executing all game presentation elements and promotionsDevelop promotions from concept to implementationCreate game-day timing sheets, staffing schedules, and music scriptsProduce and organize video board content using Adobe Photoshop and other creative softwareCoordinate promotional elements and sponsorship activations in advance of gamesManage and schedule game-night staff and internsInvoice corporate partners and assist with CRM management and record keepingSupport ticket sales initiatives, including commission-based sales opportunitiesAssist with additional organizational projects and departmental needs as assignedCommunity Engagement ResponsibilitiesHelp coordinate communication with schools, nonprofit organizations, and community groupsHelp organize player appearances, volunteer opportunities, and community outreach initiativesDevelop and maintain a season-long community engagement calendarTrack and report player community service participation and volunteer hoursSupervise and assist with community events involving players and team personnelGame Day ResponsibilitiesHelp supervise the game-night promotions staffExecute all on-ice and in-game promotionsOversee sponsorship activations and partner fulfillmentCoordinate setup and teardown of game presentation and promotional elementsEnsure a first-class fan experience throughout every home gameServe as a key member of the game operations team on event daysQualificationsCurrent college student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in sports management, marketing, communications, business, event management, or a related fieldStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the game schedule, as well as daily office hours. Adobe Photoshop experience is a plus, but not required.
