Title: Account Executive, Group SalesPOSITION TYPE: Full Time, ExemptCOMPANY: Sharks Sports and Entertainment, LLCLOCATION: SAP Center, San JoseREPORTS TO: Manager, Group SalesPOSTING DATED: March 5, 2026Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $70,304 plus variableActual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Position OverviewTeam Teal is seeking to hire a Group Sales Account Executive that embraces all aspects of our Principles.
responsibilities include generating group ticket sales revenue by way of strategic sales efforts for the Sharks, Barracuda and SAP Center Arena Events. Group Sales AE’s will also be tasked with achieving established San Jose Sharks and Barracuda season ticket, partial plan and suite hospitality products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Use independent judgement and strategic thinking to maximize ticket revenue by way of new business and renewal efforts for the Sharks and Arena events, including group ticket packages, fan experiences, and hospitality spaces Maximize new business opportunities through aggressive personal prospecting and lead generation efforts Generate ticket sales revenue by way of new and existing theme nights and initiatives Meet and exceed required activity metrics, including outbound calls, client meetings, Personal prospecting and others as assigned Aggressively pursue up-sell and new business opportunities to generate premium suite rental revenue Handle in-bound sales calls from prospective and current ticket holders Work Sharks, Barracuda and SAP Center Arena Events as assigned Perform additional tasks and projects as requested Minimum Qualifications2+ years of related experience and a minimum of six months of sales experience, preferable as a member of an entry level sales team in the sports industry Bachelor’s degree in sports management, business, marketing or related field preferred; an advanced degree is a plus but is not required Proven track record of sales excellence and development of client relationships in the sports industry Exhibit a positive attitude, coachability and work ethic Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative Exhibit good judgement and decision-making skills Ability to work Sharks, Barracuda and SAP Center Arena Events as assigned It is imperative that you have the ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills, as well as ability to manage your own time and implement your own schedule Physical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand and utilize a computer for extended periods of timeCommunicate via phone and email with a variety of individualsAbility to bend at the waist, reach overhead and lift up to 15 lbs with or without accommodationPhysically navigate stairs and catwalks at SSE facilities during normal work hours and events with or without accommodationAbility to work occasional extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays (all with advance notice)May be required to travel to other company locations May be required to attend conference, events, and training sessions within Bay Area or in- or out-of-state locations.
