Internship Overview: The Battle Creek Battle Jacks are offering an opportunity for current college students to gain real-world stadium operations and food & beverage management experience while playing a leadership role in delivering one of the best fan experiences in collegiate summer baseball. This internship is designed for students who want hands-on responsibility, operational ownership, and a fast-paced introduction to the sports and live events industry.
About the Battle Creek Battle Jacks: The Battle Creek Battle Jacks are a proud member of the Northwoods League, the premier collegiate summer baseball league in North America. Based in Battle Creek, Michigan, the Battle Jacks operate like a professional minor league organization while maintaining a culture centered on teamwork, accountability, creativity, and community connection.

The Northwoods League features elite college players from across North America and operates at a professional level, using wooden bats, minor league–spec baseballs, overnight travel, and nightly games in front of thousands of fans.
Internship DatesStart Date: On or around mid-May 2026End Date: On or around mid-August 2026Academic QualificationsDeclared major or minor in Sport Management, General Management, Hospitality, Food Management, Business, Marketing, or a related fieldOther majors will be consideredDescription of Responsibilities: Each Stadium Operations Intern will take ownership of assigned operational areas within the ballpark, including concessions and hospitality locations.
Stadium & Concessions OperationsOversee assigned concessions and hospitality locations on game daysAssist with game-day staff and concession employee supervisionSupport food and beverage inventory tracking, ordering, and restockingAssist with scheduling support and time tracking for concessions staffMonitor food quality control and presentation standardsAssist with food and beverage waste management and trackingBallpark Operations & Facility OversightSupport ballpark cleanliness, setup, and breakdown before and after gamesAssist with preventative maintenance and quality control of seating areas, walkways, and public spacesSupervise stadium cleanliness and upkeep throughout eventsGame Day & Event SupportAssist with game-day setup including signage, banners, equipment, and hospitality areasSupport special events, community activations, and non-game-day events as neededProvide fan-facing support and contribute to a positive guest experienceDesired Skills and QualificationsAvailability to work all Battle Jacks home games, including nights and weekendsStrong work ethic with a positive, team-first attitudeAbility to lead, communicate clearly, and take initiativePrevious experience in ballpark operations, food & beverage, or events is a plus but not requiredCustomer service and cash handling experience preferredAbility to multitask and manage responsibility in a fast-paced environmentComfortable performing physical tasks and lifting up to 50 lbsFamiliarity with Microsoft Office and Google Sheets preferredSkills with basic tools or maintenance tasks are a plusAdditional Tasks May IncludeGame day setup and breakdownHanging banners and signageWorking concessions outlets as neededParticipating in in-stadium entertainment and promotionsField pickup and post-game cleanupOffice and clubhouse organizationFan interaction and engagementDelivery receiving and inventory organizationPower washing and stadium recovery tasksFood prep and player meal supportSpecial events and community activationsMerchandising support and promotional content participationNo Compensation: This internship is structured as an educational and professional development experience.

Housing & Living Expenses: Housing is not provided, and interns are responsible for arranging their own summer living accommodations. There are a variety of housing options available in and around Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, and greater Calhoun County during the summer. The organization will provide a monthly stipend to help offset living expenses such as food, gas, and housing.
