    Job Description

    Lexington Sporting Club is seeking a creative and driven Social Media Intern to support the club’s digital storytelling across multiple platforms. experience creating real-time and trend-driven content for a professional sports organization, with a focus on capturing the energy of training, matchday, and post-match moments. Working closely with the Director of Social Media, Creative and Digital Content, the intern will help produce engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, and other social channels while contributing to the club’s overall digital presence and fan engagement strategy. Terms Available:Summer 2026 Academic Year 2026/2027 ResponsibilitiesAssist with capturing and creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and other club social media platformsSupport the development of creative video and static content ideas aligned with the club’s brand and voiceMonitor social media trends and assist with applying relevant ideas to club contentAssist with capturing content at training sessions, with availability expected for multiple morning sessions each weekSupport live matchday content coverage for Instagram Stories and other real-time social platformsCapture designated in-game content from assigned field-level locations, including goals, celebrations, and fan reactions during playAssist with capturing post-match content featuring players and coaches following key moments and winsEdit mobile-first video content using CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar editing softwareReview social media performance data and assist in identifying content trends and areas for improvement What We’re Looking ForCurrent college student pursuing Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Sports Management, or related fieldStrong understanding of social media platforms, especially Instagram and TikTokExperience creating and editing short-form mobile video contentFamiliarity with CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar editing toolsStrong creative instincts and awareness of current digital trendsComfortable working in fast-paced environments and reacting quickly to live eventsAvailability for morning training sessions, matchdays, and post-match coverageReliable, detail-oriented, and able to represent the club professionally in player and staff environmentsWhat You’ll GainHands-on experience creating social content for a professional sports organizationExposure to real-time content strategy, trend-driven storytelling, and matchday coverageExperience capturing and editing content in high-pressure live environmentsDirect mentorship from the Director of Social Media, Creative and Digital ContentPractical insight into digital audience growth, engagement, and performance analysisWork EnvironmentCombination of office-based planning and live content capture at training sessions and matchesFrequent work in outdoor settings, including exposure to varying weather conditionsFast-paced, high-energy environment with shifting priorities based on live eventsFrequent standing, walking, and movement during training and match coverageEvent-based scheduling includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays during the season To support a safe and professional workplace, employment with Lexington Sporting Club is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
