    Job Description

OverviewUnder direct supervision from an Event Services Supervisor, Event Setup Housemen perform event set-up and tear down, housekeeping and light maintenance tasks as assigned. ResponsibilitiesSets up tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, and other equipment according to the room diagrams and event resumesTears down equipment and supplies after events are overMaintains cleanliness in the event spaces, including hallways and other common areasKeeps service corridors and storage areas clean, organized, and unobstructedEmpties trash and operates various types of cleaning equipmentReads and understands room diagrams and event resumes in order to set event spaces accordinglyInteracts with other staff and event planners, and responds quickly to needs and requestsOther duties as assigned by managementQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent GED is required. Must be able to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performanceMust be available to work flexible hours and days including early morning, days, evenings, overnight, weekends and holidaysMust be able to lift heavy objects. Previous experience with event setup is a plus.
