OVERVIEWGrand Prix Plaza, home of the Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix, is a world-class entertainment and event destination spanning approximately 39 acres in the heart of the Las Vegas Grand Prix circuit.

The Production Technician is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and consistent operation of Grand Prix Plaza's production and technical systems. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Production, this role performs daily inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and operational support across attraction, show, AV, lighting, scenic, and technical infrastructure systems.
This is a hands-on position that plays a critical role in maintaining show quality, operational performance, and exceptional guest experience. The Production Technician must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, solving technical issues, supporting special events, and assisting with venue conversions, load-ins, and load-outs throughout the year.
RESPONSIBILITIES Perform daily inspections, operational checks, opening procedures, and closing procedures for attractions and production systems.

WORK SCHEDULE• This is a full-time position that works a varied schedule including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

During load-in and load-out of the Grand Prix Plaza facility, race week activations, and other special projects, this position may support non-traditional functions that fall outside a routine. Flexibility, cross-functional collaboration, and adaptability are essential and required during these high-impact times.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical ability to walk, stand, take stairs/elevators/escalators, and navigate the elements during the day and night. May need to remain in a sitting or standing position for prolonged periods, and repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to handle exposure to loud noises at live events, attractions, entertaining programs, and crowds.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
