The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Position Overview The Manager of Conversion is responsible for overseeing all aspects of event changeovers, and rink-related operations at SAP Center. experience. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on operational expertise to manage staff, equipment, and resources effectively in a fast-paced, multi-event venue. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Event Conversion ManagementPlan, direct, and oversee all event conversions, including hockey-to-concert, concert-to-hockey, and other venue transformations. Develop detailed conversion schedules and staffing plans to ensure timely and efficient turnarounds. Coordinate with Event Services, Engineering, and other departments to align operational needs with event requirements. Staff Leadership and TrainingRecruit, train, schedule, and supervise a team of conversion and rink operations staff. Implement ongoing safety and technical training programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and venue safety protocols. Foster a team-oriented work culture with an emphasis on accountability and operational excellence. Equipment and Facility OversightManage the operation, upkeep, and repair of conversion and rink equipment, including forklifts, staging, and dasher boards. Coordinate with Engineering to ensure preventive maintenance and timely repairs. Maintain accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and materials. Budgeting and Administrative DutiesDevelop and manage departmental budgets, tracking labor and material costs. Prepare post-event reports and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency. Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience8+ years of experience in a related role or disciplineProven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment. Strong understanding of event conversion processes, ice operations, and venue equipment. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management software. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
