Over 1,000 PGA of America Golf Professionals employed at more than 300 facilities comprise this Section. Its geographic territory includes the State of Texas north of the 31st latitude, or just north of Austin. The Northern Texas PGA headquarters are located on the PGA Frisco campus and feature picturesque office space, a growth of the game pavilion and a golf park designed for junior golfers and families. The Northern Texas PGA staff’s mission is to serve PGA of America golf professionals and grow the game by managing the day-to-day affairs of the Section. The Northern Texas PGA also operates the Northern Texas PGA Foundation and The Ronny Golf Park. NORTHERN TEXAS PGA MISSIONThe Northern Texas PGA staff’s mission is to serve PGA of America golf professionals and grow the game by managing the day-to-day affairs of the Section. responsibilities TOURNAMENT SCHEDULEJunior Tour Operations interns in East Texas will be responsible for helping conduct approximately one to two Junior Tour tournaments a week. These tournaments will include formats such as single day, 18-hole and 9-hole stroke play competitions. Interns will be responsible for conducting all of these events from start to finish. Additionally, East Texas interns will help with live scoring, infrastructure setup/teardown, and other tasks as they pertain to each event for a few Foundation and/or fundraising events. A Junior Tour Operations intern in East Texas should expect to work, on average, 8-9 tournaments, including some weekdays, and will work approximately 10-20 hours each week. QUALIFICATIONS OF CANDIDATERequired: Located in Tyler or Longview AreaHas or is pursuing a college degree (third or fourth-year students preferred) Has automobile access with willingness and ability to travel within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex Has existing insurance (through school or family) Exhibits ability to work and communicate effectively in a team-based environment General computer literacy (i.
