NASCAR seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Manager, Track Communications based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
This role leads communications strategy and execution for assigned NASCAR-owned tracks, driving media coverage, shaping messaging, and directing on-site media operations during race events.
Duties include but are not limited to:Develop and execute communications plans for assigned NASCAR-owned tracks, including drafting press materials and strategic messaging.
Lead proactive media outreach, securing earned coverage across local, regional, and national outlets.
Support race weekends by moderating press conferences, staffing executive interviews, managing credentials, and overseeing post-race media operations.
Manage advance event promotion initiatives in assigned markets to generate year-round media exposure.
Partner with internal teams on communications related to public affairs, real estate matters, partnerships, and business initiatives.
Oversee track-related media monitoring, analysis, and distribution through Meltwater.
Serve as an on-site media contact during race events and support additional communications projects as needed.
Required skills / experience:Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of communications experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Sports industry experience preferred.
Strong writing, media relations, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven team player.
Strong organizational, presentation, and time management skills.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
