AV Event Systems Engineer - Live Sports and Broadcast Production

We are seeking an experienced AV Event Systems Engineer to manage the technical lifecycle of client deployments, from system configuration and project planning through on-site execution. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can configure systems, prepare equipment, document deployments and troubleshoot technical issues under live-event pressure. Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure, image, test and validate Windows-based hardware for client deploymentsInstall and manage production software, system updates and licensesTroubleshoot video signal flow involving SDI, HDMI, NDI, IP video, reference and genlockDiagnose serial data, XML, JSON, network and live production system issuesCreate engineering project plans documenting equipment, network requirements, venue configurations and technical specificationsMaintain accurate technical documentation, system records and packing listsIntegrate Mixon Digital systems with scoreboards, broadcast feeds, video switchers and arena display systemsLead on-site setup, testing, show support, troubleshooting and strikeServe as the primary technical contact for clients, venue staff and broadcast partnersManage equipment inventory, allocation, packing, shipping, receiving, maintenance and returnsMaintain remotely deployed systems and ensure all equipment is event-readyIdentify and resolve technical risks before they affect a deployment or live eventRequired QualificationsFive or more years of hands-on experience in AV engineering, live event production, broadcast engineering, sports production or a related technical fieldWorking knowledge of SDI, HDMI, NDI, IP-based video, reference signals and genlockExperience configuring and troubleshooting Windows-based production systemsAbility to read technical documentation, schematics, signal-flow diagrams and run-of-show materialsStrong project planning, documentation and equipment-management skillsAbility to solve technical problems quickly and remain calm in high-pressure environmentsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and complete physically demanding event setup and breakdownWillingness to travel and work evenings, weekends and nontraditional hours based on event schedulesProfessionalism, discretion and dependabilityPreferred QualificationsExperience in professional or collegiate sports, in-venue AV or broadcast productionFamiliarity with real-time graphics systems, video switchers, LED displays and scoreboardsKnowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, NDI and IP video routingExperience maintaining remote or distributed equipment systemsCompTIA Network+ certification or a comparable technical credentialWhy Join Mixon Digital? equal opportunity employer.
