For the 2026 season, Old Glory DC will play its home matches at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, bringing top-level rugby, entertainment, and community activation to Northern Virginia.
The OpportunityThis internship / volunteer role is a hands-on introduction to professional sports operations. You won’t be watching from the sidelines. You’ll be on the field, behind the scenes, and directly involved in making game day happen.

Home Match Schedule (2026)Interns and volunteers must be available for all home matches:Sunday, April 26 – 7:00 PMSunday, May 10 – 4:00 PMSunday, May 17 – 7:00 PMSaturday, May 30 – 4:00 PMSaturday, June 6 – 4:00 PMAdditional community or promotional events may be scheduled.
What You’ll DoYou’ll work directly with the Game Day Manager and Operations team.
Responsibilities may include:Game Day Setup and BreakdownAssist with venue setup including signage, fan zones, sponsor activations, and equipmentSupport efficient post-match breakdown and storageFan Experience and EngagementHelp manage fan areas, promotions, giveaways, and hospitality spacesServe as a friendly, professional point of contact for fansTicketing and Entry SupportAssist with ticket scanning, will-call, and fan flowHelp resolve basic ticketing questions on siteVendor and Partner SupportAssist with food vendors, sponsors, and performers on game daysEnsure partners are set up and supported properlyOn-Field and In-Game OperationsSupport halftime activities, on-field promotions, and ceremonial momentsAssist with youth groups or community participantsStaff and Volunteer CoordinationHelp direct volunteers and part-time staffEnsure everyone knows where to be and whenGeneral OperationsAct as a floater to support whatever is needed in real timeHelp with equipment, inventory, and logisticsWho We’re Looking ForThis role is ideal for someone who:Wants real experience in professional sports or live eventsIs reliable, energetic, and comfortable in fast-paced environmentsIs flexible and willing to help wherever neededEnjoys working with people and being part of a teamCan take direction and communicate clearlyStudents, recent grads, and career-changers are all welcome.
