Job Description: On-Field Host/Emcee – Charleston Dirty BirdsPosition: On-Field Host/Emcee Season Start Date: April 21, 2026OverviewThe On-Field Host/Emcee will perform pre-game and in-game segments at the Charleston Dirty Birds ballpark.

Showcase a high-energy personality with confidence and charisma to entertain Charleston Dirty Birds fans Prepare thoroughly for pre-game features, scripts, and events Execute live reads, promotional scripts, contest explanations, and sponsor announcements clearly and enthusiastically Conduct interviews with pre-game participants, contestants, special guests, fans, and players Continuously develop creative ways to engage fans while staying within the team’s brand and character Interact with Charleston Dirty Birds personnel, including mascot(s), entertainment teams, and performers Coordinate closely with Promotions, Production, and Audio/Video teams to ensure smooth execution of all in-game elements Develop an approachable, recognizable public personality that enhances fan interaction and overall ballpark experience QualificationsStrong on-camera or live performance experience (hosting, emceeing, broadcasting, or acting preferred) Comfortable speaking into a microphone in front of large crowds and in loud, fast-moving environments Passionate about baseball and enthusiastic about being part of the Charleston Dirty Birds organization Knowledgeable about baseball and the team Possesses a voice that commands attention and delivers assigned messages with impact Ability to comprehend scripts and adapt quickly to changes Professional and able to consistently represent the organization positively in the workplace and community Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Previous experience as a host or emcee preferred Work HoursHours vary according to the game and event schedule, including weekends and some holidays Must be available for most games and special events Must be available to arrive up to 1.5 hours prior to game time
