Position: Social Media CoordinatorPosition Location: New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA (not remote)Start Date: ImmediateAbout: The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) is a professional lacrosse league in North America, composed of 8 teams rostered with the best players in the world. Co-founded by lacrosse superstar Paul Rabil and his brother, serial entrepreneur and investor, Mike Rabil, the Premier Lacrosse League is backed by an investment group composed of Joe Tsai Sports, The Raine Group, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), and other top investors in sports and media. This role is responsible for developing engaging content, managing community interactions, and amplifying the PLL brand voice across all social channels.
The ideal candidate will serve as the digital voice for a PLL Team, creating thumb-stopping content that resonates with both lifelong lacrosse fans and newcomers to the sport. You'll collaborate with various departments of the league to develop compelling visual stories, timely reactive content, and innovative campaigns that drive engagement and grow our community.
This position requires a deep understanding of social media trends, platform-specific best practices, and the ability to adapt tone and style across multiple channels. You'll monitor the PLL online ecosystem, engage authentically with fans, handle community management, and identify opportunities to join relevant conversations that elevate the league's presence.
Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum 3 years experience managing social media for a brand, sports team, or organizationPortfolio demonstrating successful social media content and campaignsStrong proficiency across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platformsBasic video editing experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar toolsBasic graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar platformsExceptional copywriting abilities with platform-specific expertise and strong attention to detailExperience creating TikToks, Instagram Reels, Stories, and other short-form vertical contentDeep knowledge of internet culture, memes, and social media trendsUnderstanding of lacrosse (rules, players, teams) or strong willingness to learn quicklyPassion for sports with ability to create content for both dedicated fans and casual audiencesSelf-motivated with excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain composure under pressureStrong collaboration and communication skills with creative and cross-functional teamsFlexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and travel for games and eventsCompensation: $55,000 - $65,000Based on the candidate’s experience, seniority, and locationThe total compensation package includes Annual Bonus, Health, Life, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) plan, Equity Sharing, Mental Health Stipend, Unlimited PTO, and Paid Parental LeaveWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
