Job SummaryThe Maryland SoccerPlex is currently seeking an enthusiastic, positive, hard- working, self- starter to join the team as Manager on Duty, for nighttime weekday hours. duties. The Manager on Duty will assist other departments on various projects as needed. Fluency in Spanish is highly desired. ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service:Serve as the first point of contact for guests entering the Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse, providing professional, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service. Welcome visitors, answer questions regarding facility programs, events, rentals, leagues, tournaments, memberships, and services. Answer and route incoming telephone calls using the facility's phone system. Process registrations, payments, and sales for programs, merchandise, food and beverage, and other facility services using the Point of Sale (POS) system. Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when appropriate. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area. Assist with guest check-in and provide general facility information. Perform other customer service duties as assigned. AdministrationAssist Finance Manager with general bookkeepingMaintain Facility Scheduling Board and internal calendars. Provide accurate data entryFile physical documents and organize online file serverCreate and update forms, maps, informational packets, signage, flyers, and other communication materials. Support multiple departments with administrative projects, event preparation, and operational tasks. Maintain and order inventory of office suppliesOther duties as assignedGeneral SecurityLock and unlock various spaces and rooms as needed for activityMonitor security cameras and report suspicious activity or facility concerns. Check in visitors to the building and maintain visitor logs as required. Monitor guest to make sure they adhere to facility rulesQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSFluency in Spanish preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Basic knowledge about youth sports and particularly the soccer community in the United States Superior oral and written communications skillsEffective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks Working knowledge about Microsoft Office Suite, VoIP Phone Systems, and operations of security alarms and camerasPREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALITIESOutstanding customer service and relationship-building skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, coaches, officials, participants, vendors, and the general public. Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to assist other departments as operational needs require.
