Baseball Operations InternReports To: Sr Director, Operations and Special EventsHours of Work / Contract Type: Seasonal Internship (Hourly)Location: Werner Park, Papillion NETeam OverviewOmaha Storm Chasers, AAA affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, have played at Werner Park in Papillion NE since 2011. The Omaha metro area has been the home of the franchise since it began in 1969. The franchise was purchased by Diamond Baseball Holdings in fall 2024. Company OverviewDiamond Baseball Holdings (DBH) was formed in 2021 to support, promote, and enhance Minor League Baseball through best practices, professional management, innovation, and investment. Position OverviewThis internship provides hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a Minor League Baseball club, offering valuable insight into the sports industry. experience in facility and clubhouse management and event setup, learning what it takes to run a clubhouse/ballpark smoothly. Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities· Assist with team packing, loading/unloading of bags and trunks· Assist with fulfilling special requests from players and coaches· Assist with all aspects of team travel, including (but not limited to) airport arrivals, departures, luggage runs, etc. requirements for both clubhouses· Substitute for dugout attendants when needed/appropriate· Assist with ballpark operations during non-game days· Other duties as assignedCompetencies• Detail-oriented and dependable• Strong communication and teamwork skills· Ability to follow oral and written instructions• Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment; work with a sense of urgency• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on safety and efficiency• Knowledge of baseball and baseball rules• Willingness to work outdoors and perform physical tasksQualifications• Interest in clubhouse management or stadium operations• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for organizational business• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability requiredWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
