Stadium Operations Assistant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Work alongside, and assist the Director of Stadium Operations and Operations Manager with daily operations dutiesStadium maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep, working with subcontractors, the City of Amarillo, and vendorsPlanning, set-up, and breakdown of all stadium events during the season and non baseball eventsDaily management of game day staff members (Ticket Takers, Ushers, Kids Zone, Cleaning Crew, Security Staff, Parking, and emergency service vendors)Oversee Scheduling and management of our Gameday ParkingAssist other departments with various tasks, when necessary and appropriateManage and cultivate vendor relationships for ballpark improvement projects and day-to-day affairsAssist in departmental problem solving, project planning, and the development and execution of departmental goals and objectivesPerform daily walkthroughs of the facility to ensure proper set-up is complete for each eventOther duties as assignedExpectations/Qualifications:Active interest in working in professional sportsEffective written and verbal communication skillsMinimum of one year of working in sports preferred, but not requiredKnowledge of how to operate basic hand tools and heavy machinery preferred, but not requiredProactive, energetic, self-starterAbility to lift a minimum of 50lbsAbility to spend most of the shift outside and on your feet in all weather conditionsSpend long hours, days/nights/overnights, weekends, and holidays at HODGETOWNWork well with others and independentlyStrong organizational skillsAbility to balance many projects at onceBe a leader in customer serviceConduct self in a professional manner both in personal appearance and attitudeRepresent the Amarillo Sod Poodles at business and community functions in a professional mannerReports To: Director of Stadium Operations Start Date: March 2, 2026 Tasks will vary and responsibilities will grow and evolve over time.
