Job Description
Finance and HR ManagerAllen Americans Hockey Club – Allen, TXThe Allen Americans Hockey Team are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Finance and HR Manager to oversee the team’s financial operations, payroll, benefits administration, and key HR processes. This role is central to the daily business operations of the organization and supports both front office and hockey operations staff. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced professional sports environment.
ResponsibilitiesFinance & AccountingServe as the organization’s lead for all accounting and administrative functions.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
Prepare monthly financial statements for Ownership and the Team President.
Create and monitor cash flow statements.
Build annual budgets and hold departments accountable for spending.
Conduct regular financial analysis to track progress toward organizational goals.
Work directly with CUTX Event Center staff to ensure accurate communication and timely payments.
Submit and pay all sales tax due for the team.
Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks and ensure proper reporting.
Prepare and review Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
Payroll & BenefitsProcess payroll for full-time staff, players, and part-time employees, including commissions, bonuses, and reimbursements.
Serve as the primary contact for employee benefits, coordinating with third‑party payroll/benefits providers.
Support workers’ compensation processes in collaboration with Fairly Group and the Athletic Trainer.
Human ResourcesSupport onboarding and offboarding, including new hire paperwork and system setup.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with organizational policies and state/federal regulations.
Assist with employee relations documentation and escalate issues appropriately.
Track performance plans, disciplinary actions, and policy acknowledgments.
Coordinate recruitment activities such as posting jobs, screening applicants, and scheduling interviews.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal workplace standards.

QualificationsProven experience in accounting, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
Strong financial reporting skills, including preparation of Balance Sheets, P&L statements, cash flow statements, and budgets.
Experience processing payroll for diverse employee groups.
Knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, efficiencies, and cost‑saving opportunities.
Experience managing employee benefits and coordinating with external vendors.
HR experience including onboarding, recordkeeping, compliance, and recruitment support.
Proficiency with payroll systems and QuickBooks.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
