WNT Assistant Coach

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES, SUPERVISION AND REPORTING• To work with the Head Coach on the preparation, coaching and team performance of the USA Field Hockey Women’s National Team (WNT) both in their centralized training venue at UNC Charlotte and on tours and tournaments.• Lead the video capture and analysis of the WNT team and opposition• To be responsible for upholding a high-performance culture and standards within the WNT program• To contribute to the longer-term development of the Women’s Senior and performance programs and support junior coaching staff and analysts as required by the WNT Head Coach. Performance Coaching• Primary responsibility shall lie with the attacking coaching and team and opposition analysis of the USA Field Hockey National Women’s Squad as directed by the Head Coach• Coach nationally identified athletes in both a team environment and individual sessions and supporting thedevelopment of potential athletes outside of the WNT• Oversee (or Lead? skills development, tactical decision-making, and attacking movement. Performance Analysis • To develop analysis coding and tracking systems as required by the Head Coach – this will include team analysis and individual athlete coding and tracking systems.• To develop and maintain opposition analysis systems in co-ordination with the Head Coach• Provide PCA and PCD analysis summaries and video for the relevant coach staff• Upkeep and maintain all video and analysis equipment ensuring that appropriate video is obtained for each training session and recorded on video sharing platforms.• Manage and analysis support staff or videographers Planning and monitoring• Support the Head Coach on annual and cyclical plans for:•USA Field Hockey Women’s National Team•Individual athletes•Monitor and evaluate athlete performance and record relevant data to ensure standards are met and potential is maximized.
