SPIRE Academy Teaching PostionFull Time Salary Geneva, OHThe teaching faculty is a mission-driven professional who serves as a foundational member of the Academic Program at SPIRE Academy. This role is responsible for fostering a rigorous, engaging, and supportive learning environment that promotes student growth, accountability, mentorship, and overall academic success.
As a daily front-line presence within the academy, the teaching faculty plays an essential role in executing SPIRE Academy’s mission by building meaningful relationships with students, delivering high-quality instruction, and reinforcing expectations related to academic performance, character, responsibility, and community standards.

Beyond classroom instruction, the teaching faculty play a critical role in supporting the broader Student-Athlete Development model, including personal growth, leadership development, future readiness, and community engagement initiatives. Teaching faculty are expected to be visible, proactive, and engaged professionals who uphold academic excellence, support student development, and contribute to a structured, safe, and high-performing learning environment.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):Teach a minimum of five sections Support Study Table RotationsCollaborate with other teaching faculty to design interdisciplinary projects.
Work closely with athletic coaches to support student learning.
Communicate regularly and professionally with faculty, and staff to address student needs and differentiate curriculum.
Use various data sources to evaluate student ability and track growth, sharing progress with parents, faculty, and coaches.
Address academic, emotional, and social needs as part of the academic team.
Complete regularly scheduled progress reports for all students.
Serve as an Academic Advisor for an assigned group of students and be the point of contact to support family communicationAttain driving certification to support transportation needs within the AcademyLead one special interest/ club activity per semesterParticipate in the seminar curriculum as required.
Additional Responsibilities:Obtain and maintain the required permit to drive students for school-related activities.
Actively participate in the Mindset Development ProjectUtilize hybrid methods to support student learning when travelingUtilize core curriculum and enhance for relevance, the sport environment, and student interestAttend student events to include athletics and res lifeServe as a positive role model for students, faculty, and the community.
Participate in department and faculty meetings.
Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the Faculty/Staff Handbook.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
Support the school’s mission and leadership.
