Grounds/Turf Management Internship

Position Overview: The Brockton Rox are seeking motivated, hardworking individuals for a Turf & Grounds Management Internship. experience for fans. This includes all 48 home Rox games as well as additional non-gameday events. Please note this is an unpaid internship. College credit is applicable. Key Responsibilities: Assist with daily field preparation, including mowing, edging, and lining Maintain infield skin, pitcher’s mound, and home plate areas Support irrigation setup, monitoring, and repairs Perform turf care practices such as aeration, fertilization, and overseeding Prepare the field before games and assist with post-game cleanup Help with tarp pulls and weather-related field protection Maintain warning track, bullpens, and surrounding facility areas Operate and maintain basic groundskeeping equipment Follow all safety procedures and organizational standards Qualifications: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Turfgrass Management, Sports Management, or related field (preferred but not required) MUST be able to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality field conditions Preferred Skills: Experience with landscaping or groundskeeping equipment Benefits: Hands-on experience in a competitive baseball environment Mentorship from experienced grounds crew professionals Networking opportunities within the sports industry Academic credit (if applicable) We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
