Valspar Championship Internship Program — Spring 2027

The Valspar Championship spring internship is an educational program for students who want to understand how a professional sporting event is made and who want to grow into the professionals who make it happen. This year, a cohort of six interns takes on real responsibility inside a PGA TOUR tournament while learning directly from tournament staff, industry leaders, and partners across the sports business. Interns join in January, are placed in a tournament department, and see the event through every phase: planning, the on-site build, Championship week, and close-out in mid-May. Alongside their department work, interns take part in a curriculum covering course operations, sponsorship, and professional development, with opportunities to learn from sports organizations across Tampa Bay. The season ends with a capstone presentation to tournament staff and board members. By the final round on Sunday, each intern will have played a meaningful part in delivering a PGA TOUR event and will leave with the experience, skills, and connections to start a career in the industry. Program alumni have gone on to careers in professional golf, Major League Soccer, the NBA, the NFL, and the corporate side of the sports industry.
