Business Operations & Merchandise Internship - Lake County Captains

The Lake County Captains are seeking a motivated, energetic, and team-oriented Business Operations & Merchandising Intern to join our organization for the 2026 season. experience in sports marketing, retail operations, and game day execution in a fast-paced, fan-focused environment. Position OverviewThe Business Operations & Merchandising Intern will play a key role in supporting both the retail and business operations of the Captains organization. This individual will be actively involved in all 66 home games, as well as additional team and community events throughout the season. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the daily operation of the team store, including maintaining organization, cleanliness, and visual merchandising standardsOperate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficientlyProvide exceptional customer service to fans and guestsSupport inventory management, restocking, and product displaysAssist with game day activations, promotions, and in-game entertainment elementsCollaborate closely with the Business Operations Manager on various initiativesContribute to partnership activations, sponsor fulfillment, and promotional effortsAssist with non-game day events, including community outreach and special eventsProvide general support across departments as neededQualificationsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPositive attitude with a willingness to learn in a team environmentAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced settingDependable and able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysInterest in sports, marketing, retail, or event management preferredPrevious customer service or retail experience is a plusWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
