Event Technician

Pay Range: $24.r ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on support for live sporting events, including, but not limited to, Daktronics ribbons and scoreboard, audio booth, broadcast control room, Triple Play’s IPTV system, and stage manager dutiesAssist the Entertainment Department with the planning and execution of live promotions, events, and activitiesParticipate in rehearsals, including sound check, communication device check, camera set-up, playlist/scripts review, and all pre-game checks as neededCoordinate with contestants, Ducks Power Players, Ice Crew, staff, hosts, mascots, promotional teams, and additional talent for proper execution of all live elements, including opening introductions, in-game promotions, intermission activities, ceremonies, color guard, and additional performersSkillsHigh School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferredKnowledge of one or more of the following: Ikegami HDK-95C cameras, Ross Acuity 3, Ross Xpression, Ross Inception, Evertz DreamCatcher, Daktronics Show Control & Venus 7000, Yamaha CL5 Audio Board, and Triple PlayAble to multitask while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWilling and able to learn additional positions and cross-train when possibleMinimum 1-2 years of experience working in a live broadcast or live sports environment, TV/Film production, live event management, or relevant experienceExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalMust be able to work in a team-oriented and creative environmentAble to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays as requiredKnowledge, Skills, and ExperienceEducation - High School Diploma or EquivalentExperience Required - 3-5 YearsWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
