WME Group seeks a talented and highly motivated junior lawyer to join its business and legal affairs team, primarily supporting WME's Motion Picture, Talent, and WME Independent Film Departments. ResponsibilitiesReviewing, redlining, and negotiating contracts under tight deadlines, including endorsement, appearance, license and other image-rights and personal-services agreementsImplementing and refining systems for information and document-managementFostering positive long-term relationships with the company’s clients and customersManage and update our database of precedent used for various agreementsManage the grids, checklists and forms used by the business affairs groupSupport the Motion Picture Business Affairs team by handing special projects and requests when assigned. QualificationsJD from an ABA-accredited law schoolAdmitted to CA Bar (or another state bar permissible under CA in-house counsel rules)1-3+ year(s) of transactional legal/business affairs experienceExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to interact with a range of personalities and styles in a fast-paced environmentOutstanding drafting, analytical, and organizational skillsA curious mind, a strong work ethic, and a creative but practical approach to problem-solvingKnowledge of motion picture and talent preferred, but not requiredRequired to work in-officePer local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the rate shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.
