ABOUT THE TEXAS GOLF ASSOCIATIONThe Texas Golf Association (TGA) is one of the largest and most influential Allied Golf Associations in the country, dedicated to championing the game and the people who play it. From elite state championships and junior golf development to adaptive and community-based programs, the TGA connects nearly 600 member clubs and more than 180,000 golfers across Texas.
Through innovation, collaboration, and a deep commitment to service, the TGA works hand-in-hand with the USGA and other golf partners to expand access, grow participation, and elevate the player experience at every level of the game.
LOCATIONPositions are available in Addison, TX (Dallas area).
TERMInternships available for 8 months, with start dates between February and March.

TGA Championship Operations Interns are part of the team from day one — traveling across the state, working alongside experienced staff, and helping conduct some of the most respected amateur competitions in the country.

This role offers exposure to every aspect of tournament administration: men’s and women’s championships, regional and statewide competitions, USGA qualifiers, and even national-level events hosted in Texas.
Many of our interns have gone on to full-time positions with the TGA or other golf organizations nationwide — while there’s no hiring guarantee, we see this internship as a true stepping stone for future leaders in the game. WHAT YOU’LL DOAssist full-time championship staff in planning, preparing, and conducting tournaments and qualifiers.
Work hands-on in every area of tournament operations, including:Site setup, course marking, and logisticsStarting, scoring, and live data entryEquipment inventory and maintenancePhotography and social media coverageWriting post-round stories and press releasesUpdating the TGA website and leaderboard systemsSupporting advance site visits and club coordinationWHAT YOU’LL BRINGA college degree (completed or in progress)A background or strong interest in golf and tournament operationsExcellent communication, organization, and teamwork skillsComfort working outdoors and on the roadProficiency with Microsoft Office and online toolsCreativity and confidence in photography or social media are a plusA self-starter attitude and the ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environmentsWHAT YOU’LL GAIN$2,350 per month (non-exempt position)TGA staff apparel and uniformsAll travel expenses coveredReal-world experience, professional mentorship, and a network that lasts well beyond the internshipApplicants will receive a follow-up email with next steps once their application has been processed.
