ABOUT THE NORTHERN TEXAS PGAThe Northern Texas PGA is one of 41 Sections of the PGA of America and its geographic territory includes the State of Texas north of the 31st latitude, or just north of Austin. The Northern Texas PGA serves approximately 1,100 PGA members and associates employed at more than 300 facilities. The Northern Texas PGA has 24 full-time staff members and opened its own state of the art headquarters on the PGA Frisco campus in December of 2022. It should be noted that 17 of our 24 staff members are former interns of the Northern Texas PGA. In addition to managing the day-to-day affairs of the Section, the Northern Texas PGA also operates a non-profit and charitable foundation that focuses on five pillars: junior golf, college scholarships, inclusion, internships, and military and veterans. The foundation also owns and operates The Ronny Golf Park. The mission of the Northern Texas PGA is to serve its members and grow the game. JOB SUMMARY: DIRECTOR OF ALL AMERICAN TOUR OPERATIONS The Director of All American Tour Operations is directly responsible for the day-to-day operation of the organization’s All American Tour, which includes an annual schedule of approximately 45 two-day 36 hole competitions, the Texas Boys & Girls PGA Qualifier and the Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches. All American Tour has a Majors Series, sponsored by Good Good Golf. HERE is the recent announcement of this partnership. The Director of All American Tour Operations will also be periodically involved in other areas within the NTPGA and will play a vital role in the overall growth of the Foundation and Section’s operations. CORE RESPONSIBILITIESEnforce the rules, policies and regulationsAs outlined in the Northern Texas PGA Junior Tour Rules and Regulations, and All American Tour Rules of Play Hard Card, to include overseeing annual updates and preparation of summary documents. Manage the preparation for and conduct of All American Tour events Oversee all tournament administration, including creating and managing BlueGolf tournament information pages, correspondence with host facilities and staff, ordering of tee gifts and awards, golf course marking and set-up, food and beverage arrangements, enforcement of the Rules of Golf and Northern Texas PGA Junior Tour Rules and Regulations, management of the All American Tour Points Challenge, and closing out of tournament financial reportsPrimary point of contact for Ben Hogan Junior Cup matches between Southern Texas PGA and Northern Texas PGA annually. Responsibilities include host facility agreement and communication, player communication, uniforms, trophies and the overall competition. Manage the procurement and maintenance of All American Tour operations equipmentOversee the care and inventory of all necessary equipment and supplies for the conduct of All American Tour tournaments including, but not limited to, trailer, signage, radios, iPads, banners and tents; as well as managing the infrastructure setup and breakdown at All American Tour events. Manage the day-to-to responsibilities of the Texas Junior Golf Alliance Partnership and Junior Golf ScoreboardOversee the All American Tour Operations Team (currently consisting of two full-time coordinators and additional intern support) to ensure communication with Junior Golf Scoreboard, along with membership transactions, point distribution and exemptions between the Northern Texas PGA and the Legends Junior Tour Alliance Tier 2 Points. Serve as the communication hub between the Northern Texas PGA and American Junior Golf AssociationTo include management of AJGA PBE assignments at eligible All American Tour events. Responsible for the continued advancement of the All American Tour, including the department internship program Manage the selection of dates, securing host venues, completing tournament agreements and contracts, and strengthening the relationship between the Northern Texas PGA and high school and college coaches. This also includes assignment of available tournament exemptions at each individual All American Tour event. Assist with the management of the All American Tour Department internship program including conducting interviews, design intern training curriculum and coordinating daily intern schedules as it relates to the All American TourOversight of All American Tour BudgetTrack the annual All American Tour Department budget, including revenue and expense projections; reconciliation of tournament financial reports; ensuring payments to host facilities and vendors. Assist Executive Director with the annual budget process specific to the All American Tour. Assist Executive Director by providing monthly updates for distribution to the NTPGA Board of Directors. Serve as point of contact for Business Operations Team on all Sponsor Related Items Assist with sponsor related needs onsiteWork to insure branding is present on trophies and signageReview All American Tour partner agreements to insure elements are executed on-siteServe as point of contact for Communication to Parents Work with Marketing & Communications team on messaging to parentsWork with the Executive Director to resolve challenges that arise specifically related to eligibility, code of conduct violations, or other All American Tour event related issuesDESIRED QUALIFICATIONSCollege degree Minimum of two years of golf administration and tournament operations experience Strong working knowledge of the Rules of GolfKnowledge of the BlueGolf tournament management systemFinancial acumen with direct experience creating and managing budgets, as well as post-event reportingStrong work ethic, organized, and detail-orientedExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work effectively in a team-based environmentProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and/or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets)Flexible schedule with ability to travel and work extended hours, including weekendsCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS PACKAGEStarting annual salary: Approximately $75,000Signing bonus: $2,000Relocation allowance available for successful candidate if relocating to DFW: $2,000Eligible for a year-end bonus based on overall financial performance of the Northern Texas PGA: $5,000 to $10,000Full medical, dental, and life insurance: $7,200Simple IRA retirement plan with company match: $2,250Cell phone plan: $180Laptop and printer: $1,500Staff apparel: $1,000Paid time off: $1,50019 paid holidays, including time off between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day: $5,700Guest Official / Referee Opportunities: $1,500PGA dues and PGA approved education (if applicable)The above elements make-up the total compensation package, to include benefit costs and bonus potential that is projected at $104,830 to $109,830 annually.
