Job Summary The HVAC/Refrigeration/Appliances Technician values guests and is committed to providing a positive impression with World Class Service. It is a behind-the -scenes role that requires handling of all arena HVAC Systems. This position installs, repairs, or maintains heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems that control the temperature and air quality in our buildings. They will also support other VSG facilities as needed.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair various components of climate control systems including motors, cooling and heating coils, heat pumps, hot water systems.
Program, monitor and schedule the cycling of climate control systems through a complex DDC processor for the most economical level of operation.
Test and treat via chemical alteration all open and closed looped climate control energy systems, including the treatment of cooling towers.
Maintenance and repair of centrifugal chillers and boilers including monitoring energy management procedures.
Maintain and repair ice-making equipment, refrigeration equipment and appliances.
Perform other duties as assignedGame/Event responsibilitiesGame/Event Night Responsibilities: YesApproximate number of events worked per year: 70+QualificationsAbility to decipher blueprints, schematics, and working equipment documentsPossess a Journeyman’s Unlimited License and/or HVAC Certification.
Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the HVAC/Refrigeration preventative maintenance fieldThorough knowledge of local, state, and federal codes and regulationsTeamwork with emphasis on workplace safetyHigh School diploma or equivalentEffective written and oral communication skillsGood time management skillsExcellent attention to detailExcellent attendanceAbility to multitask and take direction wellAbility to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressureWorking ConditionsAbility to work efficiently and effectively in office and arena environment that can be exciting, loud and distractingThis is an onsite roleAbility to work extended hours including late nights, holidays, and weekends as neededAbility to lift/carry/move up to 50lbsAbility to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperaturesAbility to commute to various venues throughout the Greater Tampa Bay AreaAbility to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or peopleAbility to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.
Ability to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop and squat without any physical movement restrictionAbility to work comfortably at high heights using man lifts, truss, ladders, and catwalksAbility to work comfortable around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
