Accounting Specialist

OVERVIEW: Elevate is looking for an Accounting Specialist to perform day-to-day transactional accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and other related reconciliations. RESPONSIBILITIES: Process vendor invoices with accurate coding and proper documentation Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts Enter invoices into accounting system and route for approval Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries Generate and send customer invoices based on orders and contracts Apply customer payments (ACH, check, credit card) and maintain accurate AR data Monitor aging report and follow up on overdue accounts Communicate with customers to resolve billing issues or payment delays Maintain organized financial records for internal reviews and audits QUALIFICATIONS: The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
