About the job
Our mission at Oura is to empower every person to own their inner potential. Our award-winning products help our global community gain a deeper knowledge of their readiness, activity, and sleep quality by using their Oura Ring and its connected app. We've helped millions of people understand and improve their health by providing daily insights and practical steps to inspire healthy lifestyles.
Empowering the world starts with living our values and empowering our team. As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work — both in and out of the office.
As a Sr. Supply Chain Planner, you will be responsible for end-to-end supply planning for Oura's product portfolio, from production through delivery to our customers. In this role, you will integrate demand forecasts, production constraints, inventory positions, and channel requirements into a unified supply plan, and you will lead the analysis and decision-making behind supply allocation and inventory tradeoffs.
You will support Oura's retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels globally, partnering with contract manufacturers, third-party logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure product availability. This role sits within the Supply Chain team and works closely with demand planning, sourcing, logistics, finance, commercial, and operations.
What You Will Do
- Develop and own the global supply plan across channels, balancing service levels, inventory targets, and financial commitments.
- Partner with contract manufacturers and sourcing to build constrained supply plans that account for component lead times, minimum order quantities, capacity limits, and allocation during supply shortages.
- Represent supply planning in the S&OP process, developing scenario plans and recommendations to address supply and demand gaps.
- Manage the full inventory lifecycle, from inbound production through 3PL allocation to excess and obsolescence mitigation.
- Lead supply planning for new product introductions and peak seasons, coordinating timelines, risks, and contingency plans across engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
- Monitor production execution against plan, identify exceptions, quantify impact, and drive corrective actions.
- Build planning and scenario models to support cross-functional decision-making, leveraging AI and automation to reduce manual work.
- Prepare and present supply health, risk, and tradeoff analyses to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Identify and implement improvements to planning processes, systems, and cross-functional workflows.
- Partner with logistics on fulfillment strategy and with finance on inventory valuation, write-downs, and landed cost.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in supply chain planning, supply/demand planning, or inventory management, preferably in consumer electronics, consumer hardware, or a comparable physical-product environment.
- Experience owning a supply plan end to end, with a strong understanding of how planning decisions affect upstream and downstream operations.
- Demonstrated ability to structure and resolve ambiguous problems with incomplete information.
- Strong quantitative and modeling skills. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets required; experience with planning systems (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis, o9, NetSuite) preferred.
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and building alignment with commercial, finance, logistics, or engineering partners.
- Experience using AI tools to improve analysis and planning workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NPI ramps and end-of-life transitions in consumer hardware.
- Experience working directly with CMs/ODMs in Asia.
Location
This is a hybrid role. The candidate should be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to come into the office 2–3 days per week.
